I've been loving this dress for Summer. It's been so nice outside lately, and wearing lightweight dresses have been a life saver on these hot days we've been having. Plus this dress has an awesome geometric pattern on it, which I've decided is a bit of a shout out to the 80's. Hair from the 80's? Bad. Fashion from the 80's? Definitely still has potential.

Normally I like have pictures that show what I'm wearing in a bit more detail, but we were dealing with an extreme temperature today and wanted to get back inside. OK, it was only like 89 degrees outside, but us Washingtonians are big weather wimps.  

Also, can we talk about the fact that my skin color is about the same shade as my dress? I need a tan.

Elephant.

Dress-Forever 21/Shoes-Target/Bag-Urban Outfitters/Necklace-Delia's.

Have you noticed a trend in these past few weeks of my outfit posts? (hint: animals)  Last week's outfit included birds, and this week it's elephants. I saw this dress and just had to have it purely because there are elephants all over it. I'm not a huge elephant fan in general, but I sure love them on a dress! Is my interest in animal prints a bit odd? Probably. But hey, I do get to have a lot of  random conversations with people because of it. 

SO worth it.

Also, can we talk about these shoes for a minute?  I've been wearing them nonstop. Like to the point that I almost am thinking I need a back up pair for when they wear out. I've never owned nude flats before, and now they're my favorite ones to wear. It's a bit of a refreshing change from the usual black ones I wear. 

I really have been a terrible blogger lately. But I already have a few posts planned for the week, so let's hope my bad blogging streak will end shortly!

Twins

Dress-Forever 21/Jacket-Target/Scarf and headband-gifts!/Oxfords-Target

I wish I could take complete credit for this dress, but it actually belongs to my little sister. She has pretty good taste, if I say so myself. I gave her a few things from my closet, so she let me borrow this little number for awhile. I just love the little hearts on it! During my trip home during the holidays, I realized how much the two of us are alike. We look alike, talk alike, say the same things, and are about exactly the same height. She's nine years younger than I am, but I think we are long lost twins. I always wanted someone to share clothes with, and I just love that she is finally my size! Or maybe it's that I'm finally her size? Either way, it's a lot of fun. 

I love this dress so much that she might have a hard time ever getting it back :). Also, these oxfords were on sale for like $12.99 at Target. So if you're on the hunt for a comfy pair, I'd run to Target now before they sell out!

I am so excited for New Year's Eve! I hope I get a chance to snap a few pictures of my outfit. Let's just say it includes a LOT of sparkle.

Sparkle.

There is something about this time of year that just makes me want to wear sparkles all the time. I definitely am a sucker for sequins year-round, but I feel like they are especially festive during the holidays, don't you agree? I don't a great sparkly dress, but I do have a few sequined sweaters, and I'm going to make sure they get some good use this month!

Sunset Camouflage.

Dress-Forever 21/Cardigan-H&M/Wedges-Nine West Vintage Collection

This dress has been officially titled the "Sunset Camouflage" dress. You know, just in case I find myself somewhere at sunset and need to blend in with my surroundings, I'll know exactly what to wear. I like to always be prepared, you know? This is one of my favorite dresses for this summer. I especially love the color palette. I usually tend to avoid nude colored clothing, since it makes me look pretty washed out. But this dress has just enough of the peach/salmon color to keep it from looking too drab.
