Baby Love

Oh man, has it been a long time since I blogged! The last time was when I was 38 weeks pregnant, and 4 days before my little Eisley was born. It's kind of funny to read that post, because I remember I was just SO ready to not be pregnant anymore. I guess she heard my complaints and decided to show up early!

So what's been going on? Well, I had Miss Eisley Rose!

You guys, I'm so in love with her. It's so true when other people say that you have this instant love for your baby the second you see them. I don't think anything can compare to the feeling I had when I first held her in my arms. I kept thinking how right it felt. It was almost like my whole life I had been waiting for that very moment. In an instant there was this tiny baby with cute pouty lips and big eyes staring at me. I about died of happiness. And don't even get me started about Ian. Seeing him with Eisley just melts my heart. He is just smitten with her. That girl already has him wrapped around her finger, and I have fallen in love with him even more now that we have her.

Eisley is a petite lady with strawberry blonde and blue eyes. She is finally able to wear most of her newborn clothes. She's just so tiny and and cute I love it. So far, she's very easy going and is happy almost always except for when she's hungry, tired, or has the hiccups. She HATES the hiccups and always makes sure to let you know about it. Haha! Oh, and she looks just like her dad. I love it. It's so fun (and weird) to see him when I look at her sometimes.

Speaking of cute, here's a few pictures from the past two months so you can see why we are SO in love!
And by a few, I mean a ton.

I mean, can you even handle the cuteness? I barely can some days. She's the best.
(That last picture was taken by my talented brother, Jake. You can see his work here.)

I'm really glad to be blogging again. I'm hoping to be able to not only share parts of my life, but to encourage other young mamas out there as I figure out this whole motherhood thing. I've been so encouraged by other moms, and I hope to be able to do the same! Thanks for reading :).

Happy Saturday!

Bits and pieces.

I am finally back from my wonderful mini vacation to Orange County! Above are a few pictures of our trip. Just looking at them make me so happy!
My hubby and I had so much fun hanging out with my family and spending four days with them. We laughed, shopped, ate, and rode bikes on the beach. I got to see a ton of my family, including the newest member Kait, who is my sweet future sister-in-law. I have to admit, I've been pretty bummed since I got home yesterday morning. I love my family more than anything, and it's always hard to say goodbye to them. I am so blessed to have family that supports me and loves me the way they do. I know not everyone gets to experience that.

I'm really looking forward to  New Years Eve! Do you guys have any fun plans? I don't know what I'm doing yet, but I do know it will involve wearing sparkles :).
Look for more regular posting this week/next week. I know it's been a bit scarce around here.
Happy Thursday!
xoxoKelsey.

Two Years

Two years ago today, I married a Mr., and became a Mrs.

The past two years have been the most rewarding, most challenging, and most wonderful years of my life. It's hard to believe that we have only been married for two years sometimes. I think it's because we've been together for almost seven. (I'm 23....if you do the math, that is a crazy long time for how old I am!) I've spent so much of my life with this man, and I am so thankful that God gave us the gift of marriage.

Ian-
Thanks for loving me as much as you do, and for being an amazing husband who strives to live everyday for Jesus. I love you, and happy two years!

Here's to a million more!

Regroup

So as you may (or may not) have noticed, I did not do my usual "Beautiful Monday" post yesterday. I don't like excuses, but I was spending the entire day with that bearded man in the picture above (husband>blog post). We stayed in our pajamas until noon, and then shopped and dined the day away. It's funny how sometimes as a married couple you have to catch up with each other. Sure we live together, but we both have very busy schedules. And an evening after work is not always enough. We have to have a day to regroup and enjoy each other's company.

We rarely get days off together. But when we do, they are pretty wonderful.

Hope everyone is having an amazing first day of Summer <3.

Bracelets.

Ian gave these bracelets to me as gifts while we were dating. My favorite is the one on the right. It spells out "I love you." He gave it to me on our first anniversary. He was only sixteen. Not bad for a sixteen year old, right?? I treasure this bracelet so much.  Whenever I wear it, I remember the young teenage boy with braces, who I fell madly in love with in an instant. I love knowing that a boy who was only sixteen, had the capability to love me with his whole heart, and that he still does today.
