Patience

Hello, everyone! Man, I have REALLY missed blogging. I need to get myself back onto somewhat of a routine before the baby gets here. Otherwise, it may never happen. For now, here's a bit of an update on what has been going on:

-I'm 38 weeks pregnant tomorrow! Only two more weeks to go. I feel like it was March and then I blinked and it's June already,

-Today is my last day of work before maternity leave. I am really excited to be done, but at the same time it is an odd feeling to know I won't be working for awhile. I know that I'll be starting a new job soon as a mama, though. I'm already convinced it will be the best job ever!

-I have been nesting like a crazy person. I used to think that nesting was kind of a fake thing. Nope, totally real.

-My mom is coming up to stay with us for a little while a week from Monday. I'm so thankful that I will have her here to help me figure out this whole mom thing.

-Ian is done with school for the quarter on Friday, and then he gets three weeks off. I'm hoping this baby comes on time so that he has some extra days off to enjoy the baby. And he only has one quarter left of school until he graduates. Hallelujah!

Look at that belly. Sometimes I can't get over how big it is. I'm amazed that my body can stretch this much. Let's just hope it remembers how to go back to (mostly) normal.

If there's one thing I am not good at, it's being patient.
And being 38 weeks pregnant is truly testing my patience.  I love this little baby, and I just want her here in the world already! I know that God's timing is perfect, and that she'll come when she is supposed to. But if she showed up tomorrow, I'd be totally OK with that. Eisley Rose already has my heart, and it feels like it's going to burst open with excitement. I cannot wait to see her face.

I'd say "I'll be posting again, soon" but I better not jinx it :).

Happy Tuesday!
xoxoKelsey

Lately vol.3

Good morning, everyone!
Here's a little update via my phone on what's been going on in the past few weeks.

1 and 2: I don't know if you knew this, but I'm a professional singer. Just kidding, this was my first time ever in a studio. I got to sing with my sister-in-law and hubby for one of his recording projects for school. I won't lie, I felt pretty cool. :)
3: My dad came to visit me  last week, and we went to see They Might Be Giants. Do you guys know who they are? If not, they sing this song. I listened to them all the time growing up. It was probably the funniest concert I've ever been to.

4 and 5: My dad is a bit of a tea snob, which I love. We went to a few different tea places while he visited, and now I can't stop drinking tea! Especially with milk and sugar, because my dad informed me it is the "proper" way to drink it.
6 and 7: More tea, and some coffee. I tend to drink hot beverages like it's going out of style.

8: Breakfast date with Ian. Isn't he cute?? 9: OK, this stuff is addicting. I like that it's a lot more rich than ice cream. I tend to not eat as much, haha.
10: Lots and lots of bracelets. I've been wearing these almost everyday, whether it matches or not. 11: My mom got me an amazing leopard print coat a few years ago, and I've recently fallen back in love with it. It's so warm and cozy.
12: You guys, I've been reading the BEST series this week. It's the Matched trilogy by Allyson Condie. The books are about a girl who lives in a dystopian society where everyone is matched with their spouse when they are seventeen, and she is accidentally matched with two different boys. The books are beautifully written. I read the first two in like 3 days. Check them out, you'll love them. I promise :).

How has your week been? I'm hoping it was absolutely wonderful! I am so excited for the holiday this week. Hooray for lots of food and family!

Happy Sunday!
xoxoKelsey.

                                            Oh come, let us sing to the Lord;
let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. The sea is his, for he made it,and his hands formed the dry land.

Oh come, let us worship and bow down;let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!

Lately vol.2

 1. Last Sunday our church put on a huge worship night, and about 70 people were baptized. It was absolutely awesome.
 2. I traveled to Leavenworth, WA to do my client's hair for her wedding. Isn't her dress beautiful? She was the prettiest bride I've ever seen.
 3. I've rediscovered my love for these black wedges. They are so fun to wear, and they make me feel like a giant.
 4. My niece, Cali, turned one today. She's the sweetest little girl who's little smile melts my heart.
 5. Kale is my new obsession. I had no idea how many vitamins it has in it, and I am determined to make it a regular part of my diet.
 6. Tea with hot and sour soup. Yum!
 7. I saw this little lady while in Leavenworth. If you guys didn't already know, I LOVE Ariel.
 8. The hubby and I were the only ones on the monorail on Halloween. I guess everyone else had more interesting plans than just going to the movies?
 9. We always feel pretty sly after successfully sneaking candy into a theater.
 10. Stripes and plaid. I'm currently having a love affair with the combo.
11. Hair things. Lots and lots of hair things. It's amazing how many things you need to do hair for a wedding!

I've realized that the reason I love doing these picture posts, is because it really reminds me of how awesome my life truly is. Even if my week is long as crazy, I am thankful for it.
God is good.
So how has your week been? I'd love to know :).
Happy Friday!
xoxoKelsey.
